Eliminate daylight savings time permanently but move every time zone ahead one-half hour.

Created by M.M. on March 14, 2016

Daylight savings time is unpopular. The energy savings by moving time ahead one hour is insignificant when compared to the negative side effects that changing time has on the health and safety of our citizens. It is time for us to permanently stop daylight savings time. However, we should split the difference between the advantages and disadvantages of daylight savings and standard times by moving all our clocks (including Arizona) ahead one-half hour. Then, we should never change our clocks again. Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and other outlying parts of the US can decide for themselves whether they might like to advance their clocks one-half hour. We should also coordinate with Mexico, Canada, and Caribbean island countries.
