The change between Standard Time and Daylight Savings Time is expensive for businesses and unhealthful for many people.
Many people think that this change is advantageous in Northern States, because it provides more evening daylight. However, the greatest advantages of DST ended when the World War II nighttime blackouts ended.
In the Southern US, DST has no advantage at all. A useful boundary is 1.5 time the earth's tilt (39 degrees 45 minutes North latitude). In states which are mostly south of this latitude, there is no advantage to daylight savings time.
Please eliminate all federal inducements to observe DST in these states.
