Eliminate the death penalty

Created by J.Z. on September 27, 2011

The death penalty should be repealed. The drugs used for execution are in high demand and limited supply. It costs more per year to house a prisoner on death row. There is always the moral component to this, such as the possibility that a person is indeed not guilty (like so many stories in the recent news). We should make a shift to a more progressive prison system that focuses on rehabilitation, not confinement and death.

This is an important first step to prison reform.
