In this nation, we are led to believe that we all have a vote that matters. However, with the currenty electoral system, we really do not. Instead, the popular vote of each state gives that state a certain number of votes, based on population. So, for example, if 1,000,000 people vote for candidate A, while 1,000,001 people vote for candidate B, all of the votes for that state go to candidate B.
Because of this, the electoral college system is inherently flawed. Why can we not use the popular vote? Why can we not have a system which gives every citizen a true voice?
