Eliminate the Electoral College

If this country is WE THE PEOPLE,
And we are given the right to vote...then why does the "system" disregard our vote?
Why doesn't each individuals vote count?
The electoral college certainly had it's place in the 1800's...but it really isn't needed anymore.
This is the second time a popular vote, The PEOPLE'S VOTE didn't count in an election. The second time "We the People" were denied our candidate of choice. We can't allow this to happen a third time
I would hope there is enough people in Congress and the Senate that will listen to WE THE PEOPLE and move to eliminate the outdated system of Electoral Votes.
