While it is a luxury that we are able to have legislators and representatives vote for smaller issues, the president should voted for directly by the people. We should have a direct effect on our government representatives. Eliminating the electoral college would allow America that opportunity. We would still have our legislators, but the president would undoubtedly be representing the popular vote.
