We the people ask the federal government to Change an existing Administration policy:

Eliminate the Electoral College and depend solely on the popular vote when electing the President of the United States.

Created by E.S. on November 09, 2016

In a country that boasts one person, one vote, it seems fair that the people’s vote should be the entity that determines the highest office in our land. The Electoral College was established by our Founding Fathers as a compromise between Congress and the popular vote in determining the election of the President of the United States.

The political parties in each state choose the members of the Electoral College and these are the people who decide our President, not the American People. There is currently no law that requires the members of the Electoral College to vote for the President of the United States according to the popular vote.

Abolish the Electoral College and allow the popular vote to stand as the sole indicator of who will be elected as President of the United States.
