During the infancy of the United States, the electoral college was necessary to prevent confusion and overload in a world without instant access to online voting; however, in today's world, the necessity of the electoral college is no longer realistic. The popular vote should decide who the president is. This would prevent gerrymandering from corrupting the determination of our president. Let the people really decide!
