Dear Mr. President,
The way our current election system works harms the people and benefits the two major parties in this country. Our system of voting for president in this country uses a method called "First-Past-the-Post" voting, where a potential candidate can win the election, even if the majority of people did not vote for him. Please consider eliminating the electoral college (which is an inaccurate reflection of the popular vote) and institute instant runoff elections, which allow voters to rank candidates by their order of preference. No vote is wasted in the instant runoff elections system. No voter should ever be wasted.
