Eliminate the electoral college in the election of US presidents and replace it with a direct election system.

This petition calls for the elimination of the Electoral College that is currently used in US presidential elections. We feel that this system gives undue importance to a small number of so called "swing states" in deciding presidential elections. We would like a direct election system for US Presidents, in which one person gets one vote, all of equal value and importance.
