We already know gerrymandering was used to put the GOP in control of the house when they lost the popular vote. It is an antiquated system that needs to be replaced. If we have the technology to know the popular vote of every voting American that should supersede the electoral college. We should from 2014 on go by a popular vote, eliminate the electoral college and any attempts to rig elections should be punishable not only by monetary penalties but by barment from all government positions be they elected or by appointment. In addition all parties should be included in all races as set by a national standard so third party candidates would no longer run on multiple tickets differing from state to state.
