This is a petition to do away with the unfair system of the electoral college in presidential elections, whereby one person's vote does not count if the majority of votes in a state support a candidate of the opposing party. The system is currently being manipulated to further disenfranchise voters in "swing" states.
The electoral college is an antiquated system that was created in the early days of our country when communications, travel and culture created challenges that don't exist today. Polls show that between 60 and 80 per cent of citizens would like to see the electoral college abolished in favor of a national popular vote.
