The electoral college is an outdated system that was created to avoid direct democracy; however, what this system has actually done is removed the voice of the people. Our votes should matter. The popular vote should be considered the final say for elections because the majority of people is representative of the country as a whole. We need to stand up and say that we should decide who leads us, we should decide the direction in which we want our country to go, and that one vote truly should equal one vote. The people want this change and this is a nonviolent way of making sure that change happens!
