The electoral college has outlasted its usefulness. It is part of the constitution, written when it was believed that voters were not to be trusted to make an informed decision. Voters currently living and voting in a "RED" or "BLUE" state are essentially not being heard. The electoral members are selected by the two political parties, Republican and Democrat, excluding all other voters: Independent, Libertarian, etc. We are told that our voice matters, that we are a democracy and that we have a say; but as we complete the 5th time in history where a candidate that won the popular vote did not win the electoral vote, we must move forward with change. End the Electoral College. One Vote Counted, One Voice Heard.
