eliminate the electoral college system and abide by the popular vote system.

Created by D.R. on December 04, 2012

As of right now, it is possible for a political candidate to receive more popular votes, but less electoral votes. This system undermines the peoples right to vote. By eliminating the electoral college, every vote would truly count. This would increase voter participation. Elections based upon popular vote will insure that the candidate that most Americans want will be in office. This will also make all politicians more accountable for their choices and actions. This means, the United States would be ruled by the people and not the politicians. This is the way our forefathers wanted our nation. This will also force politicians to listen to the majority of the people, and do what the majority want. Politicians will no longer be able to pursue their own agendas.
