During our nations infancy, the Electoral College System was used to gather the votes of rural citizens where travel to the cities to vote was impractical. With the communication systems available today there is no need for the Electoral College System to remain.
Many American's who cast their vote for one candidate only to find their vote is cast for the candidate popular in their state object to this. As the popular vote of each American Citizen is truly the voice of the people, that is the voice that should clearly decide whom should be president of our country. For these reasons, we request swift congressional action to take all steps needed to eliminate the Electoral College System and and allow future presidential elections to be decided solely by the voice of the people.
