The current way we elect the president is outdated at best, and truly it could be viewed as a broken system. A candidate can receive fewer popular votes nationwide, and yet still become President.
With the current technology we have available to our citizens, there is truly no reason why a popular voting method would not be feasible. The American people have a responsibility to vote in elections and make their voices heard; the Electoral College system prevents many votes from lesser-populated areas from influencing national results.
