Eliminate exclusions and exemptions in all laws for elected officials

Created by B.M. on April 17, 2013

All elected officials must follow all laws with out exemption or exclusion. Currently many loopholes for elected officials allow them to live outside the laws that apply to all other citizens. This leads to corruption and must be stopped. All current loopholes must be made null and void, and attempting to make future loopholes must be illegal. Any elected official caught breaking the law must be prosecuted to full extent of the law. Since there is a higher possibility of favors from judges, fines and penalties, if variable, should be mandated to be in the 75th percentile. Any crime or combination of crimes that carry penalties equal to or greater than $1000.00 and/or a prison sentence of any length should be required to resign and forfeit and remaining salary and/or pension
