Eliminate the federal reserve and place the money printing powers back to the congress.

Created by L.H. on November 10, 2012

The Federal Reserve bank of the United States prints and coins our currency. This central bank is not public but private. The federal reserve was established in 1913 under the Federal Reserve Act of 1913.This bank is controlled by private banker shareholders. The banks that are part of this central bank got bailed out during the banker bailout of 2008. This bank controls our currency through the control of interest rates and inflation (money supply). The money printing powers use to belong to the US Congress under the US Constitution Article I, Section 8. This clause within the US Constitution states that congress has the power "to coin Money, regulate the Value thereof, and of foreign Coin, and fix the Standard of Weights and Measures."
