The Federal Reserve is owned by a group of private citizens and is NOT owned or operated by the United States government. Our government pays this private corporation, through interest, to borrow the money that it prints. This means that with the creation of money comes the automatic creation of debt, which is then owed to the individuals who own the Federal Reserve. They get rich for printing money while the government slowly succumbs to ever increasing debts. It is time for our government to cut ties with the Federal Reserve, eliminate the debt created with the printing of money, and print money directly, for free, with no interest owed to anyone. The President and Congress can do this NOW to help eliminate the national debt once and for all.
