As of 2013 and per the federal reserve bank, the student loan debt is roughly $1 Trillion dollars, those dollars need to be forgiven and the elimination of that debt will relieve the American citizens of a large financial burden that ends up being a vicious cycle in terms of the next generation that goes off to college. We need to be able to purchase homes, build wealth and save money for retirement; that's difficult when you have student loan debt hovering over your head. The interest is terrible you graduate owing $60,000 and it turns into $90,000 due to interest and forebearance. The banks were bailed out, what about the American citizens?!? The Afghan and Iraq war has cost us $4 Trillion dollars. We the people want the federal student loan debt eliminated/forgiven! We matter!
