Enlisted Military, Coast Guard and National Guard personnel (including reserves) retiring receive an average of approx $20K annually in federal compensation. At the current income tax rate, the cost of collection and tax return preparetion may likely exceed what is actually. This petition suggests the eliminatation of federal income tax deductions on these pesonnel may actually save federal tax revenue.
