I petition the Obama Administration to completely eliminate the food stamp program and replace it with a system to distribute rations of food paste that contains all nutritional aspects of a balanced diet.
Benefits:
1) Significantly cheaper than distributing funds to obtain food at a grocery store at retail prices, saving the taxpayers billions.
2) Eliminate food stamp fraud and abuse.
3) Address the staggering obesity epidemic in our country.
4) Encourage the disenfranchised to improve their socioeconomic situation so they don't have to eat nutritious paste for sustenance everyday.
5) Paste would be easily transportable and have a long shelf-life.
6) Cheap and accessible nutritious paste would completely eliminate hunger in the United States.
