Fractional reserve banking allows private corporations to create money out of thin air, then lend it to American citizens at interest. The Federal Reserve system is controlled by private individuals. The US Constitution permits only Congress to print money, but the government has delegated authority over the creation of money to the Federal Reserve system. This petition proposes to end these three problems, which are the main sources of economic inequality in America.
