The Bill of Rights guarantees Americans the right to peaceably assemble, so that We The People can protect our interests as citizens of The United States. Abolishing "First Amendment Zones," or "Free Speech Zones," allows citizens the chance to exercise their rights in a manner that can be effective.
Protests and demonstrations are meant to be noticed, but if they are not allowed to assemble in a manner that will allow them the chance to gain support, it becomes easier for media and government to sweep it under the rug and pretend that it never happened.
This petition seeks to end the practice of suppressing the voice of the public, by restricting their right to share their concerns in a peaceful manner.
