Black Friday is a plague on our nationally, and semi-internationally, recognized Thanksgiving holiday. It has transitioned from being a family-friendly holiday of eating excessive amounts of food while giving thanks for the things we should be grateful for, such as our friends and family, into a blood bath of competing sales gimmicks and low prices that gets American citizens riled up and causes mass casualties and even a few deaths just to make each other happy when Christmas comes around.
Since 2006, there have been 90 injuries and about 10 deaths just from Black Friday sales. Recently, a woman even murdered three people just for the new Xbox One.
It just baffles me that we continue to let a potentially deadly marketing gimmick ruin our holiday season.
