Eliminate Gun Control Act and National Firearms Act requirements for registration of silencers, suppressors, and muffler

Created by W.L. on November 12, 2012

Revise the Gun Control Act (18 U.S.C. Chapter 44) and the National Firearms Act (26 U.S.C. Chapter 53) to remove the requirement of silencer, suppressor, and muffler registration. Gun reports are very loud and harmful to the shooters hearing. Suppressors reduce the noise created by firearm thereby minimizing hearing damage, noise pollution, and environmental concerns.

Suppressors are needed for indoor shooting ranges, outdoor shooting ranges, and hunting. Many European nations require suppressors on all firearms for hearing loss prevention.

The same logic that requires mufflers on automobiles should apply to firearms. Less noise is better.
