eliminate the Hyde Amendment from the Justice for Victims of Trafficking Act of 2015.

Created by R.V. on April 12, 2015

The Justice for Victims of Trafficking Act of 2015 has been stalled in the Senate due to the harmful inclusion of the Hyde Amendment. This rider will set an unprecedented restriction on funding provisions for abortions. We find this an inappropriate platform for bipartisan bickering that could initiate a slippery slope of restrictive funding for abortion services and ultimately reproductive health. Victims of trafficking deserve this new legislation, yet the terms for their justice are being set by the agenda of politicians far removed from issues surrounding identification and services for victims. Join the cause to remove the amendment and pass this important policy!
