Eliminate the identification of ethnicity and race on all government forms

Created by R.T. on March 13, 2013

When registering my daughter for Kindergarten, the school wanted me to identify her ethnicity and race. In a day where a Black man is president and a Hispanic is Pope, identifying a citizen of this country as anything except "American" in any capacity is unnecessary and serves no purpose except to continue the presentation of government-collected data by race, a practice which results in profiling, prejudice, victimization, racism, and the perpetration of social stereotypes. I'm asking the government to discontinue this practice, and to regenerate the idea that we are all truly created equal and are not victims based on our race or ethnicity.
