Since when can any law enforcement officer break the laws for which he is employed to enforce? Can he vow to enforce a law, with the clause that he himself is immune to its effects? The answer is never and of course not. Every officer vows to uphold and live the laws they enforce.
Then why not Congress?
Congress repeatedly votes on, and even passes, laws that they have given themselves immunity from. They apparently think its a good idea for everyone else in America except themselves!
This is criminally and civilly wrong and prejudiced. Perhaps you've heard of a few of these laws... Healthcare, conflict of interest for elected officials (ie: special interest groups with $$), payment for non performance of duty, etc.
We should expect more from our representatives.
