Eliminate the Income Tax.

Created by J.W. on December 05, 2012

Taxes discourage whatever they are imposed upon. The income tax hinders the process of true, free-market capitalism. Moreover, this tax takes money of the pockets of those who earned it, simply because they earned it. We propose that a tax be levied instead on what consumers choose to spend , not what they earn, to make up the lost revenue. Te tax rate can be varied to benefit all businesses and consumers alike. For example, items purchased from large retailers (2000 employees, or more) could be subject to a higher tax rate (inflation adjusted) than items purchased from small businesses, thereby equalizing the market, and allowing consumers to consciously choose when to spend money. This means the government would face lower social-security burden due to improved spending habits.
