prevent the IRS from charging daily compounded interest and increasing tax penalties; while reducing the rate charged.

Created by A.L. on October 19, 2015

The IRS charges penalties that continue to escalate and can end up being an additional 25% of the tax owed, as well the IRS charges interest on a daily compounded rate, something no other institution can do. The government adds 3% to the short term rate also. It is time that the government stopped trying to profit on its citizens, and start calculating based on monthly compound interest, with one standard penalty for late payment, and based on the short term rate without additional interest added on. We need to help citizens who have gotten behind do the right thing and pay their taxes, but we do not need to take advantage of them.
