The laws in place for student loan consumer protection are woefully lacking and are creating a society of indentured servitude onto the next generation. I petition that something be done about striking down the law against allowing bankruptcy protection to cover student loans and to crack down on the draconian collection system in place that gives no rights to the consumer and allows a collection agency to harass and has no rules and regulations in place for collectors to follow. The system as it is set up is criminal.
