Eliminate lifetime pay for elected officials in Congress and the Senate, not excluding the President and Vice-President.

Congressmen and Senators receive a lifetime salary for there time in office, even after they have been voted out. They should only be paid for the time that they are in office. They work for us, and if we fire them for not doing a good enough job for us, they don't deserve to continue to be paid. If any one of us working class stiffs were fired from a job for not performing it well, we wouldn't be paid anymore. The same should be done for these elected representatives. Its time to end the government handout to the representatives that have been fired from representing us. The same should also apply to Presidents, Vice-Presidents, and any other position that receives a lifetime salary for not being in that role anymore. Apply this to all past, present and future officials. Fix the deficit!!
