Eliminate MLB rosters expanding to 40 players in September

Created by B.C. on February 11, 2013

All season long, MLB teams compete with a 25-man roster and then in September, when every game is critically important, we change the rules and 40 players are eligible to play for each team.

Create a taxi squad for teams in September in which a 25-man roster must be determined before the start of each game. Players may not be put on the taxi squad more than six times in the month and pitchers may not be permitted for than three times.

This will create equity and strategy to the already exciting final month of the season.
