Eliminate or have a constitutional inquiry into the Religious Tax Exemption provided by the IRS 501(c)(3) tax code.

Created by S.M. on December 05, 2015

Due to major religious influence in American politics, obvious profiteering occurring in religious organizations nationwide, and actions such as overseas fundraising, I believe it is time for the government to reconsider it's IRS tax-exempt status for religious organizations. I believe a constitutional oversight committee should look into the financial benefits of taxing federally recognized religions and how many of these organizations are already flaunting the rules expressed in the 501(c)(3) portion of the IRS guidebook.
