President Obama has already expressed a willingness to support elimination of the penny. We ask that he take a more active role in moving this issue to the forefront, along with the elimination of the nickle, which is even worse than the penny. Both are produced at a lose and lead to lost productivity. In this time of reduced federal budgets, we don't have money to waste on such useless anachronisms.
