Eliminate the Penny as a form of U.S. Currency.

Created by S.M. on March 28, 2013

The U.S. Penny (valued at 1 cent) costs 2.4 cents to produce. Its 90+% Zinc composition is far more toxic than other coins. It is unusable for toll booths, vending machines and other automated payment collectors, etc.

There is absolutely no reasonable argument for keeping it in circulation and there will be no benefit to eliminating it any later than right now.
