eliminate pensions for Federal employees, including Politicians, and replace them with 401(k) like retirement plans

Pension plans have disappeared from private sector jobs due to their expense, replaced with 401(k) or similar types of plans. In order to control government spending, all government employees, including politicians and judges, should be subject to the same effects of capitalism as those in the private sector. If something is too expensive to maintain in the private sector, it is eliminated. It is time for the same rules to apply to government.
