eliminate-permanent-division-retentionretirement-pay-members-uniformed-services-divorce

Created by G.S. on October 22, 2011

As you know, I have been fighting this battle for years for not only myself but also similarly situated military and uniformed service members - and you also know we have paid a high price for that fight. I would point out that nothing my group (www.ulsg.org) advocates would interfere with child support or valid alimony amounts as determined by a judge, just the automatic and permanent division of military retainer pay. I use this term because military retirement pay is not a pension because military retirees can be recalled involuntarily for life (and many have been over the past 10 years) or can lose their retainer if they take other citizenship or commit a felony.
