To the President of the United States,
I would like to start a petition in order to eliminate political affiliations.
An uninformed electorate, in my opinion, is the most dangerous weapon against true Democracy. Simply voting for someone because they have an R or a D next to there name is the same concept as voting for someone because they like the color of there tie. Whats to stop the government from imposing for instance over taxation or even absolute power, if the average voter listens to nothing the candidates say. Not saying it's going on now just a possibility. If you aren't able to vote a straight ticket you are forced to inform yourself.
George Washington agrees. He said it on Sept-19-1776. He had a pretty good idea of what this country should be.
