Political parties have ruined the purpose of our government. Government is a representation of the people, not of a party. Officials and bills are voted for and against based on which party they are affiliated with far to much. With parties removed, a voter has only the facts to decide upon, allowing the government to be represented by the voice of the people, not the person a particular party spent the most money on. Remove parties and the ability for a candidate to say they are "liberal" or "conservative" and other buzz words to try and define which side they are on. An election should be based on facts, not affiliation!
