There is a plan in the works from the mind of billionaire Tim Draper which proposes the dividing of California into six individual states. This proposal will find itself on the California ballot in 2016.
This needs to be stopped before it can start. There is already a vast economic disparity which exists among the people of this country. If this proposal is allowed forward, that disparity will be greatly increased, as this division will simultaneously create both the richest and poorest states in the nation.
If poverty is a problem, if the catering to the ultra-rich while alienating everyone else is undesirable, then this must not be allowed to transpire.
In short: separating the rich people from the poor people does not solve anything except salving the discomfort of rich people.
