eliminate the practice of affirmative action in public school admission, as it violates equal protection.

Created by M.L. on March 09, 2013

The 14th amendment of the Constitution prevents states from denying any person within their jurisdictions equal protection of the laws. This petition reflects the belief of its signatories that using race as a means to determine eligibility to study at public schools (affirmative action) violates equal protection under the law. Such a practice reflects a belief that applicants of some races possess unique qualities inherent to that race, and that these qualities either make them more qualified to study, more worthy of higher education, or in greater need of the benefits of education than applicants of other races. We are asking the Obama administration to work to repeal this unconstitutional practice.
