Contrary to what some may believe, there are some of us out there who acknowledge our student loans and make the best attempt to pay them back. Unfortunately, predatory lending companies such as Sallie Mae make it completely impossible to get rid of the debt! Their collection tactics constitute harassment: calling several times each hour from different numbers, threatening family members, calling a person's place of employment. This has happened to me although I am currently paying what I can afford. Attempts to work with this company have failed. A simple Google search reveals that there are thousands of others in similar situations with this awful company. They need to be investigated and eliminated! The negative effect of massive student loan default has yet to be seen!
