Military and retired military members are required to pay $172 per month for dependent health care premiums for dependents under age 26. Civilians are not required to pay additional premiums for their dependents who are under the age of 26 under the Affordable Care Act.
Our men and women in uniform put their lives on the line for all Americans, putting their own lives on hold voluntarily to defend our way of life. Their families sacrifice time away from their soldier,sailor,Marine,airman, and Coast Guardsman because they understand that they are fighting for something bigger than themselves, our freedom. It is not fair to ask them to pay an extra premium for their adult dependents when the civilians they defend are bit required to do the same. Please eliminate this additional premium.
