Eliminate the printing of the penny as it costs 40% more to produce than it is worth

The penny is a nuisance to society. it costs 1.8 cents to make... this proves my point. The penny is a weight on every transaction made... We could eliminate the penny and round every item in a store or shop to the nearest 5 cents instead of $4.99. If you think what I just said doesn't apply to this matter, it does.
