The National Do Not Call List is ineffective in controlling scam phone calls as the scammers simply ignore this List. The national phone companies have the technology to detect scam calling operations but have no incentive to solve this problem. Reporting scam caller phone numbers is also ineffective as law enforcement does not follow up. The phone number (855) 210-3300 has been continuously reported as a scam call originator since April, 2016 but no action has been taken to shut them down.
