Eliminate Social Security Income CAP (currently $113,700), AND, permanently reduce the personal SS TAX RATE to 3%

Created by T.H. on November 17, 2012

1)Eliminate CAP on Income subject to Social Security Taxation, AND, 2)Reduce the Individual Social Security TAX RATE to 3%.
Current CAP is $113,700 and would be $665,638, if we used the same formula from when Social Security was created. Eliminating the CAP is fair and affordable.
Reduce TAX RATE individuals pay back to 1961 level (i.e. 3%), the level it was originally intended to be, when Social Security was created.
If 1) AND 2) was enacted together, government SS REVENUE would increase slightly, while 98% of Income Earners would see a reduction in SS Tax with-holdings. SS retirement benefits will NOT need to be reduced to maintain solvency. Retirement age will NOT need to be increased.
