A USA Today article pointed out that despite more funding to the tune of $41 Million by the current Administration rape kits are unprocessed. Some of the kits may identify serial rapes but because of the statute of limitations those who had the courage to go and have a kit completed and involve law enforcement may never get justice-those kits may have been thrown away helping a rapist-silencing the victim. We ask to lift the statue of limitations NATIONALLY on sexual assaults AND NATIONALLY MANDATE that every rape kit gets processed in America.
Sexual assault victims should not be treated like second-class citizens.
